Naila Yazdani, Counseling Student Intern

Naila is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). She was born and raised in Las Vegas and has earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Management from UNLV.

Naila has worked with adolescents and adults in both academic and supportive roles, helping them navigate challenges related to stress, motivation, and self-esteem. She also served as a research assistant in UNLV’s Human Memory Lab, where she investigated the relationship between sleep, emotion, and memory, enhancing her understanding of how psychological processes influence well-being. Additionally, she has contributed to wellness advocacy and psychoeducation through her work with a private practice and mental health nonprofit organizations, producing educational content across digital platforms.

 

Outside of her professional life, Naila loves traveling to new places, especially Disney, her happy place, and spending time with her family and her pitbull, Kallie. She brings warmth, authenticity, and empathy to her work. Her counseling approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with a strong focus on creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.

Naila accepts Victims of Crime Reimbursement. Her cash rate is $40/50-minute session.
