Jennifer Saucedo, Counseling Student Intern
Jennifer is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from UNLV and is a first-generation Mexican American dedicated to providing culturally responsive care to underserved and marginalized communities.

Jennifer has experience working with at-risk youth and justice-involved adults in both group and correctional settings, including facilitating therapeutic groups for adolescents. She also completed an internship with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit, where she gained valuable experience in trauma response, victim advocacy, and multidisciplinary collaboration within the legal system. Her clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, and substance use, with a particular focus on how these issues intersect with identity, life transitions, and systemic barriers. Jennifer integrates trauma-informed, person-centered, and cognitive-behavioral approaches to foster resilience, emotional healing, and personal growth.

Outside of her professional work, Jennifer enjoys traveling, binge watching reality TV shows, discovering new coffee shops, and spending time with family. Her approach is grounded in empathy, lived experience, and a deep understanding of diverse backgrounds.
