Mardae Castro

Mardae was born in San Jose, California but spent the majority of her schooling years here in Las Vegas. Shaped by the diverse communities in both the Valley and the Bay Area, along with understanding the stigmas around mental health growing up as a first-generation daughter of Filipino immigrants, Mardae realized the need for minority mental health professionals and decided to be the change she wanted to see.

As a dedicated single mother, Mardae balances her responsibilities with her studies and career aspirations. Currently serving as a clinical administrative assistant here at Veridian Wellness, she is also working toward her Bachelor of Science in Human Services with minors in Addictions Treatment and Family Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She hopes to pursue a graduate degree to one day become a therapist.

In her free time, Mardae stays involved in the community through various university organizations as well as volunteering with local non-profits. Aside from that, she enjoys music, trying new foods, going to the gym, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
